Like you, thousands of people are already gearing up for the festive period. Sure enough you'll be wondering what the night life has to offer - new clubs, new bars, new restaurants? It may all seem slightly daunting but not to worry, Afritickets has carefully selected the hottest clubs and bars for you to while away those long nights. Here are our top 7 spots sure to be on everyone's lips this December (Not in any order of preference):
Prive lounge is the newely opened restaurant and bar, offering a fine dining experience with exquisite yet simple continental dishes. The restaurant is situated on the first floor and comfortably sits between 80 – 100 guests. With large chandaliers, soft red swede walls, marbel floors - one could easily be in a boutique hotel in New York. The terrace on the top floor is a whole different level - four lush cabanas are spread across a beautiful green turf, a well stocked outdoor bar in between and enough open space to allow free flowing conversation. The roof top is definitely the pièce de résistance - It sets Prive apart from other night life spots and gives it an uber chic vibe. Expect Dj Debby to spin the latest international and Nigerian tunes.

If you don't know Likwid lounge you've clearly been living under a huge rock in the lonely mountains somewhere outside of Lagos. It's been the after-hours spot of choice for at least the past two/three years and doesn't seem to be slowing down any time soon. It's set on two floors, each with their own unique moods. Upstairs with its signature red theme is the location of choice - ladies in short skirts, copious amounts of champagne and an electric music selection all combine to give you that "how didn't i know it was 7am" experience. Downstairs is more chilled and allows a breather from the madness of upstairs or that quiet moment to make your move (wink wink). They have an extensive cocktail menu, a decent selection of finger foods like mini burgers and chicken wings to help soak up all that alcohol.

Spice Route is first and foremost a restaurant of the highest standards. You can get treated to delictable Indian and Chinese cuisine in one of the most intricately designed venues in Lagos. The restaurant is a sensory experience, from the grandiose entrance with a sweeping staircase and Terracotta warriors paving the way, to the spice tables and huge Buddah.
It is decorated with beautiful artwork and carvings and at night it magically morphs into a club where you can let loose (twerking is not allowed).
Spice route is designed and structured to take you from lunch all the way into the late night party mode and best of all it's not too heavy on the wallet.

SIP BAR, situated on top of Paris Deli cafe/restaurant is a beautifully decorated lounge and Bar. With its ornate furnishings, comfortable lounge chairs, a long bar and probably the best bar service of the lot, SIP is the spot to touch for a night out with friends.
SIP has the dinner lounge where you can get something to eat should you get the munchies. There's also the VIP (Cigar) lounge where you can smoke to your hearts content. It's structured in a way that gives you a view of the entire club and an opportunity to appreciate the detail that's gone into furnishings of the club. The paintings, lighting and gloss textured walls give Sip a classy feel. There are also tables for reservation where you can relax as the night quickly becomes busy.
Be warned - get to Sip nice and early as it's known to get ridiculously crowded.

MOVIDA, which after a long hiatus has only just reopened it's doors is touted as one of the best nightclubs and pickup spots in the city. The reason may not be far fetched from the fact that the A list night club which remains a staple for expatriates, foreigners and locals alike, organizes regular hot events that gives you a feel of why Lagos is called the entertainment capital of Africa.
In MOVIDA you may be tempted to forget that you are in Lagos because of the number of foreigners who club there every weekend with some of the hottest ladies in town (bring your wallet). They have special nights like ladies’ night on Tuesdays and players’ nights on Saturdays.
It opens on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 9PM till dawn.

As seems to be in fashion, RHAPSODY'S is a classy restaurant, bar and a night club combined. The food selection is a mixture of continental dishes such as Ribs, Burgers and steaks.
When you walk in expect to be greeted with gorgeously designed interior, rich lighting and a banging sound system. It is also a club that comes alive at night for a swinging late night experience. There are two Rhapsody's in Lagos - one in the heart of VI and the other in Ikeja.

PRAVADA, which opened up early in November is situated above Cafe Vanessa. It's the first non smoking club (we know of anyway) in these neck of the woods. Calm your nerves, there's a smoking session outside pictured below. It's run by the venerable due of Tola Odunsi and Akins Akinkugbe so you can expect to bump into the likes of Naeto C, Wiz kid and other celebrities. The club is well furnished with signature lighting schemes, comfortable sofas and a spacious open plan floor space- all make for a fun night out with friends. To top it off you don't smell like a chimney the next day when you have to meet the parents for breakfast! The DJ spins a good blend of international hip/hop and Nigerian music and the bar tenders mix generously sized cocktails so expect to wind all the way into the late hours of the night.
