Chimamanda Adichie gets Baileys Women’s Prize for Fiction nomination

Award winning Nigerian author Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie has been nominated alongside 19 other women for the Baileys Women's Prize for Fiction.
Chimamanda who is nominated for her latest book – “Americanah” is the only Nigerian and African nominated. The prize comes with an award of 30,000 pounds or $ 50,000.
She has previously won the competition.
Chimamanda is nominated alongside Donna Tartt of “The Goldfinch“, Margaret Atwood of “MaddAddam” and Eleanor Catton of “The Luminaries”.
Six finalists will be announced on April 7th and winner will be revealed on June 4th.
