Kenyan actress Lupita Nyong'o won the oscars for the best supporting female actress in the movie 12 Years A Slave yesterday.

British-Nigerian actor Chiwetel Ejiofor who played the lead role in 12 Years A Slave lost out once again to Matthew Mcconaughey for his role in Dallas Buyers Club. Chiwetel also lost the Golden Globe Awards to him.

The overwhelmed Kenyan actress gave a very powerful acceptance speech at the award ceremony. Read below,
