22nd Annual UCLA School Of Theater Film And Television Film Festival - Directors Spotlight

All eyes and ears have been on the Superman-Batman feature film that was announced last month and speculation as to who would take over as Batman ran rampant. After weeks of guessing who would replace Christman Bale, the answer has finally been unveiled and next up as Bruce Wayne will be none other than Ben Affleck.

Affleck will become the 8th actor to take on the role as Batman following in the steps of Christian Bale, George Clooney, Val Kilmer and Michael Keaton, just to name a few.

Affleck will join alongside Henry Cavill, reprising his role as Superman, Diane Lane and Amy Adams and will be directed by Zack Snyder for a July 17, 2015 release.

Director Zack Snyder has nothing but optimism and excitement for the casting. “Ben provides an interesting counter-balance to Henry’s Superman.

He has the acting chops to create a layered portrayal of a man who is older and wiser than Clark Kent and bears the scars of a seasoned crime fighter, but retain the charm that the world sees in billionaire Bruce Wayne,” Snyder states. “I can’t wait to work with him.”

How do you feel about this? Will Affleck’s Daredevil days haunt him?
