Wale's Top 10 Hits

Wale is coming to town and we are celebrating his 'home-coming'. Wale will be performing live in Lagos at  Ice Prince's Fire of Zamani album launch which will be held at The Eko Hotel & Suites, on Saturday 23rd of November, 2013.

We had a hard time selecting ten of Wale's hottest hits.  He has us believing he lives strictly by his philosophy "No Days Off'. Enjoy some of the hits that have elevated the Nigerian-born, DC native into a league of his very own.

1) Chillin' feat Lady Gaga -  Wale's single off his first album 'Attention Deficit' (2009).

2) Lotus Flower Bomb feat Miguel - The first single released off his Ambition (2011) album, Wale's thuggish smooth talking on this smash hit definitely caught the attention of the ladies.

3) Slight Work feat. Big Sean - Producer Diplo's beats are always certified club bangers. Add Wale and Big Sean's rhymes about the life and ballin' out of control and you have a winner! Fun fact: Chris Brown co-directed the music video.

4) Pretty Girls - This song sees Wale doing what he does best - spitting game to pretty girls over go-go music, which is a genre of music very popular in in the DMV area, where Wale is from.

5) Drop  - One of the hottest Nigerian collaborations of 2013 with an international artist. Wizkid's catchy hook really does make us want to drop our...wait...never mind.

6) Diced Pineapples - Featuring along side Drake, Wale stole the show with his suave spoken word/rap feature on Rick Ross's hit single.

7) Clappers ft Nicki Minaj & Juicy J - This is a club anthem that can be trumped by very few. Nicki Minaj stole the show on this one but we have to give Wale his props.

8) Bad feat Tiara Thomas - Wale's first platinum single off his critically acclaimed album 'The Gifted' (2013). The official single featured Tiara Thomas but she was replaced by good girl, gone bad- Rihanna on the album version after Thomas signed a record deal with another label on the low. All drama aside, we love both versions. You decide.

Listen to Rihanna's version below:

9) Tipsy - *Get some more bottles, let them get some more bottles, get-get some more bottles!!!* We love this Ice Prince song not only because he and Wale bring fire with their bars but also because it will become the soundtrack of what epic Lagos nights are made of.

10) LoveHate Thing feat Sam Dew - One of the most soulful records on his third album The Gifted. Wale raps about the bittersweet that comes with fame and success as Sam Dew sings a Marvin Gaye-esque hook.
