Romanian/Nigerian London-based virtuoso pianist Rebeca Omordia is billed to perform at the Agip Recital Hall, MUSON Centre on March 4 and March 11, 2018. She will give a solo Piano Recital on Sunday, March 4 and on Sunday, March 11 she will perform Liszt - Piano Concerto no.1 in E Flat major as soloist with the MUSON Symphony Orchestra. Rebeca will also give a Master Class on Tuesday, March 6, 2018.
Rebeca Omordia was born in Romania to a Romanian mother and Nigerian father. She graduated from the National Music University in Bucharest in 2006 and was awarded full scholarships to study in England at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire and later at Trinity College of Music in London. She is currently writing her Ph.D. Thesis.
Rebeca Omordia has made a name for herself as a vibrant and exciting virtuoso pianist who is in demand throughout the UK and abroad. She is a great advocate of Nigerian classical music and has performed piano works by Nigerian composers at concerts in the UK and the USA. Her Piano Recital on March 4, 2018 will include Ayo Bankole – Piano Sonata no.2 ‘The Passion’.
Rebeca Omordia is excited at the prospects of giving her first performance in Nigeria at MUSON’s famous pioneer Recital Hall – The Agip Recital Hall.
